Ask a digital signage futurist what the future of the space is and you may be surprised by the answer. After all, there’s a LOT happening in this fast-changing and exciting field. Needless to say, it’s difficult to sum up just how significantly the space is changing. But as digital signage futurists and keynote speakers, let’s take a quick peek at some of the types of new developments on our radar.
User Experience: Interactive digital signage that responds to user input is becoming more common. Such setups can create more engaging experiences and provide valuable data on customer behavior. Touchscreen displays, voice commands, gesture recognition, and even facial recognition might be used to interact with digital signs.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): Smart tools can help tailor the content of displays to the viewer based on a range of factors from the time of day to demographic data or even the expression on a viewer’s face.
XR Solutions: As digital signage futurist have pointed out, screens could also become integrated with AR technologies, creating a blend of digital and physical experiences. For example, a customer might point their phone at a digital sign to see additional information or an immersive advertisement.
